How long will it take to receive my replacement equipment?

If your claim is approved, your deductible will be billed to your Bluegrass Cellular bill.  Assurant will ship the same or a comparable phone within 2-3 business days, based on equipment availability.  For an additional fee, you can choose to have your replacement phone expedited.

What is the importance of providing an email address for status updates?

Providing us with your email address allows us to provide you with important information on the status of your claim, such as when it has been approved, when your phone was shipped, and tracking number to help you locate the status of your package.

Will the replacement equipment be exactly the same as the original?

Be assured that we will make every effort to find the exact model - either new or reconditioned - of your original phone.  If one isn’t available, we will replace your phone with a model of similar like, kind and quality and will inform you during the claim process if this is the case.  All damaged equipment or recovered lost or stolen equipment, becomes the property of Assurant.  A prepaid label and instructions will be included with the replacement equipment for return.  If the damaged equipment is not returned, you will be invoiced for the full replacement cost of the phone plus a $50.00 non-refundable processing fee.

What if I do not have my ESN or MEID for my phone?

This information is found under the battery on the back of the phone.  The ESN is 11 digits long, or the MEID is 16 digits.  If your phone has been lost or stolen, you can find the ESN on the box that your phone came in or on file with Bluegrass Cellular.

How can I determine the manufacturer and model of my equipment?

The make and model of your wireless phone can be located on the box the phone came in or on your original sales receipt. 

How do I file a claim under Dial Direct®?

You can file a claim by simply calling 1-888-352-9183, or on the web at http://www.thesignal.com.  Please be prepared to provide the following information to complete your claim:
* Your wireless phone number
* The make and model of your phone
* The electronic serial number (ESN) of the phone you are claiming
* What happened to your phone (date, time and location of the incident)
* A police report number will be required for a stolen phone

Note:  A Proof of Loss form may be required to complete your claim.

What should I do before I file my claim for lost or stolen phones?

Please call 1-800-928-2355 to suspend your wireless service to prevent any unauthorized use of your phone if the phone has been lost or stolen. Please note, you will need to file a police report for all stolen phones.

What is the deductible if a claim is filed and approved?

• $50.00* deductible per occurrence for lost, stolen, and accidental physical damage claims.
• $25.00 deductible per occurrence for mechanical breakdown claims.

*Mechanical/Electrical breakdown coverage does not include batteries.
**$100 deductible per occurrence for lost, stolen, and accidental physical damage claims for Audiovox 6600, UT Starcom 6700, UT Starcom 6800, ALL Motorola Q devices, Motorola ROKR (Z6M), Motorola RAZR II (V9M), ALL Palm devices and ALL BlackBerry® devices.  $50 deductible for Aircards.

The deductible will be billed directly to your Bluegrass Cellular Invoice.

What if I have more than one phone?

If each qualified phone is active on different wireless phone numbers, each phone must be individually enrolled in Dial Direct®. Each phone will be billed $5.95 to your account monthly.
