ELIZABETHTOWN, KENTUCKY – Six volunteers from Bluegrass Cellular donated their time at Helping Hand of the Heartland, coordinated by Nicole Jackson, Support Services Manager at Bluegrass Cellular. The volunteers sorted through donated clothing, toys, shoes, and various household items. Donated items are sorted and hung, then moved to another area where they are then given free of charge to the clients of the Helping Hand. “We really do appreciate the help sorting the clothes. We can always use more help,” said Lucille Steele, coordinator at Helping Hand. The organization maintains a number of programs to assist those in need. Providing food, clothing, transportation assistance and adult education are but a few of the many programs available through them.
