Elizabethtown, KENTUCKY – Today Bluegrass Cellular announced the availability of short code access to Twitter, a popular social networking site. Twitter fans that have Bluegrass Cellular service will be able to update, send and receive text messages using Twitter. To gain access, customers can set up their own Twitter profile online then text "follow username" to short code 40404 with a Bluegrass Cellular mobile device (where "username" is a registered Twitter username). Once the short code is activated, users can accept an invitation from a registered Twitter user via text or email. RUSSELL COUNTY, KENTUCKY – Bluegrass Cellular recently added 3G high speed data service coverage to their wireless network site located in Font Hill Kentucky. The enhancement to this tower completes 3G coverage network build along the Cumberland Parkway between the cities of Salem and Ingle. This site improvement will also add 3G coverage to the area around the Russell/Pulaski county line. 3G high speed data access allows faster transmissions of pictures, web browsing, email access and other types of data while using hand held devices and wireless air cards.
